With FirstWare IDM-Portal you use your own Active Directory as a data source for internal address lists.

You have the option of additional functionalities as it fits into your organization:
In a first step you give your employees permissions to manage their own profile. By using the self service role, users can maintain their own profile only. The data are from your AD and Entra ID and displayed as predefined by the administrator. You can also delegate administrative tasks to users outside the IT-department. Almost all employees have an AD and Entra ID user account. Use the existing data pool and delegate data administration tasks to team assistants, the HelpDesk or your HR department with the help of special delegation roles.
Displaying a high quality profile photo in the phone book is a must have for many employees. Especially in larger organisations with many geographical locations colleagues have not necessarily met in person. Therefore it is important to show an appealing profile picture.
It also increases the motivation to look after your own profile and to keep your contact details up-to-date. This is very easily done with self service.
Profile photos which are used in Outlook and Skype can be directly uploaded to the AD phone book.
Smart Search is a user-friendly extension of the search function in the FirstWare IDM portal. One or two keywords in the search line are enough.
An intelligent search algorithm gives users the ability to run a chained search across multiple AD and Entra ID attributes.
The right colleague can be found even if only fragmentary information about his identity is available.
You can map not only users with their own account in the phone book, but also contacts. Manage suppliers, external contacts or employees who do not have access to a computer. However, compared to user objects, contact objects have a limited set of attributes.
Instead of classically relying only on Active Directory, hybrid phone books offer advantages. You can use AD and Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) in parallel and integrate Teams functions, for example.
