The IDM-Portal was introduced in 2015, built on many years of experience from IAM customer projects. Since then, we have continuously developed it into the comprehensive IGA solution it is today, with delegation and automation as central building blocks.

The IDM-Portal is an IAM solution for Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) and helps your organisation manage digital identities, groups and permissions across various systems.

In doing so, the IDM-Portal brings together different IT environments, such as Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, other directory services like Keycloak, HR systems and line-of-business applications. Users and their access rights can be managed clearly and efficiently. Processes can be automated and responsibilities delegated in a targeted manner.

The IDM-Portal is particularly well-suited to organisations with complex or distributed IT landscapes, multiple sites or a combination of cloud and on-premises systems. It creates a transparent foundation for managing identities and permissions and helps you keep access rights up to date and secure.

The IDM-Portal can be connected to a variety of systems and directory services, not just those within the Microsoft ecosystem. In addition to Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory, these include other directory services such as Keycloak. Various HR systems (such as Loga3 or SAP SuccessFactors), line-of-business applications and cloud services can also be integrated.

This allows identities and information from different IT environments to be consolidated and used for the management of users, groups and permissions. The IDM-Portal thus supports system-independent identity management, even in heterogeneous and hybrid IT landscapes.

In principle, the FirstWare IDM-Portal is available to any organisation. Our various editions offer increasingly comprehensive features, allowing them to adapt to a range of requirements.

To be honest, however, the greater the number of identities to manage and the more complex your IT landscape, the greater the benefit – typically from around 250 employees upwards, ranging from medium-sized businesses to large corporations, public authorities and other large organisations. The larger and more complex your structure, the more you will benefit from automation.

No. The FirstWare IDM-Portal is vendor-neutral and integrates various identity providers, such as Microsoft or Keycloak, on an equal footing. It is precisely this independence that is particularly important to us: you are no longer tied solely to Microsoft, but can also opt for European solutions if required.

When it comes to the operating model, you decide for yourself whether to use cloud, hybrid or on-premises solutions, and can expand the configuration yourself as your needs grow.

Our projects are designed for long-term collaboration because the greatest value unfolds over time: new processes are initiated, access structures are continuously improved and new requirements are integrated. This requires commitment on both sides, which is exactly why most of our customers work with us for many years. The implementation itself takes much less time than you might expect.
